It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the peaceful passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Ronald McNeil at the Glace Bay Hospital, on Sunday, October 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Ronald and Margaret (O’Handley) McNeil.

He was employed with Nova Scotia Power until his retirement in 2007. Ron enjoyed Fly Fishing, Golfing and spending time with his family.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn (Smith) of 49 years; his two sons, David McNeil and Danny McNeil; his pride and joy, his grandchildren: Sharalyn McNeil, Christian and Zachary, as well as two great-granddaughters Mya McEvoy and Adalyn Rasmussen. Siblings: Richard (Donna) McNeil, Blain (Diane) McNeil, Donnie McNeil and mother-in-law Ruth Smith, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Ron was predeceased by a sister Carol.

Cremation has taken place under the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, N.S. 902-849-4199.
