Obituary of Christopher Keith Dillman
Please share a memory of Christopher to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher Keith Dillman, on September 26, 2024.
“Keith” will forever be remembered as a kind, gentle, loving husband, father, and grandfather. He leaves a legacy of love, pride, courage and integrity, and was fondly known for story telling and well executed jokes, sprinkled in with some corny one-liners when pinched for time.
He faced the challenges of visual impairment with courage and determination throughout his adult life, and it certainly did not hinder his pursuit of goals and aspirations. Keith was very well respected throughout his career with CNIB, and worked tirelessly to help improve the lives of persons with vision loss.
Keith is predeceased by siblings, Ivan Ross Dillman (in childhood), Elwood Lewis Dillman, and Leonard William Dillman; parents Lyla Blanche (Turple) and Thomas Addie Dillman; nephew Christopher Dillman.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Elizabeth (Betty) Dillman, devoted daughters Krista (Doug MacEachern) and Kathy (Roy Meech); adoring sister Lyla May Marlene Peterson. He is lovingly remembered by grandchildren, Scott, Thomas, Abbey, Grace, and John. He was an immensely proud Grampy, every step of the way. His numerous nieces and nephews were very special to him, and they would often reach out for some words of wisdom.
A special thanks to the doctors and staff of unit 7.4, Halifax Infirmary, where Keith spent a week in their care.
A celebration of life will take place on November 9th from 2:00-4:00 pm, in the Bedford United Church - Porch " Main Entrance". We welcome friends and family to gather and reminisce.
