Obituary of Robert Yik Ming Lee

Age 88, of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, passed away on August 26, 2024, at home surrounded by family. Robert was a husband, father, brother and dearest grandfather “GongGong” to his granddaughters. He was born in Hong Kong; later after the war, his family moved to Jamaica and then Aruba. Robert then moved to Canada to study Engineering at McGill University. He met his wife Teresa in Montreal in 1964. They moved to Halifax with their two young sons in 1970. Robert worked for CFB Halifax as a civilian electrical engineer for over 25 yrs. Robert is survived by his wife, Teresa; his sons, Henry (Rhonda) and Patrick; and granddaughters, Rachel and Jennifer Lee, all of Halifax. He is survived by his siblings, William (Elenor), George (Barbara); sister, Janet (Daniel) Chin; and many nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his parents, Ying Fong & Kwai Sum Lee; and his brothers, Neil, Richard, Hugh, and David. No funeral service.
