Obituary of Patricia Therese Blais

It is with sadness that the family of Sara Patricia (Pat) Therese Blais (Somers) of Halifax, announce her passing on March 24th, 2019 at the QEII. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late James A. and Mary J. Somers (Ferguson). Pat worked as a stenographer at the Beth Israel Synagogue, and more recently in security with the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires. She will be lovingly remembered by husband J. Roger Blais of 47 ½ years; son Patrick A. Ferguson; brothers James, John (Jack), Danny, and Patrick; sister Lois Knoll; grandchildren Samantha, Benjamin, Chisa, and Justin; many nieces and nephews; several grand nieces and nephews; as well as many loving friends. Beside her parents, Pat was predeceased by son Michael V. Ferguson; sister Audrey; and brother Kevin. Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Knox United Church at 567 Sackville Drive. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to T.J. Tracey Funeral Home.
