Allister 'Allie' Clements, 79

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather and brother on Monday, September 16, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Allister 'Allie' Clements, 79, of Donkin formerly of Southhead. Born March 4,1945 Allie was the son of the late Joe and Bridget (Bridie Hart) Clements.
Allie worked for many years with H&H Hopkins Ltd. until his retirement. He enjoyed days spent putting in his garden and taking immense pride in his yard adorned with his flowers he started each year; he was an avid Maple Leaf’s fan and often enjoyed the banter with his boys when hockey season approached.
Surviving is his wife of 51 years Bertie (MacLeod), sons, Jason (Tanya), Joel (Sandra), much loved Grampie to his five grandchildren Rebecca, Baillie, Leah, Emma, and Ryan, he was so proud of each of you and enjoyed each moment spent with you.
Also left to mourn his passing are sisters Marilyn, Sharon, Mary, brothers John Robert, Barry, Ont., and many nieces and nephews and their families, along with his extended MacLeod family.
Along with his parents, Allie was predeceased by siblings Ethel, Junior, Freda, James, Hun, Hazel, and Louis.
Cremation has taken place under the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. 902-849-4199. As per Da’s wishes there will be no funeral, a family graveside gathering will take place at a later date.
The family wish to extend a heartfelt thanks to our family doctor Dr. Mark Ellerker who is always there for us and Dr. Diane Mc Laughlin nurses and staff of the third South unit in Glace Bay Hospital we thank you for the exceptional care of our dad as well as to our family.
