John Wayne Comer

March 25, 1948 – September 15, 2024

On a sunny, Sunday September morning, Wayne passed as he lived quietly. He is survived by his wife Ruth (Struthers) Comer; daughters, Catherine, Sara (Christopher); son, Jason (April); grandchildren, Emma, Jackson, Felix, and Abby. He is also survived by his siblings Eddie (Pauline), David (Heather), Blair (Marion), Bernie and Carol Ann.

Besides his parents, Edward, and Rodina Comer, he was predeceased by his grandson, Beckam; sisters, Linda, Gail, and Christine; nephews, Mark, and Stephen.

The family would like to thank the staff of 3rd South and 4 North, General Hospital for their care for Wayne and our family.

Cremation has taken place. There is no visitation. A graveside service will be held St. Mary’s Church Cemetery, Glace Bay. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. 902-849-4199.
