Vincent C. Browner, 84

We the family regret to announce the passing of Vince at the Glace Bay Hospital on September 12th, 2024, under the loving care of his nephew, Christopher.
Born April 17, he was the son of the late Thomas and Christine (McDonald) Browner of Dominion. After graduating from MacDonald High, Dominion, Vince went on to graduate from Nova Scotia Pathology Lab in Halifax. He dedicated his career of 40 years to St Joseph’s Hospital, Glace Bay.
Vince was an active member of the community, president of the CSLT of Nova Scotia, Hospitality Administrator at St Anne’s Church, and on the board of directors for Lingan Golf Club. Vince was a true gentleman who was admired by his friends, family and coworkers. He was an avid golfer for 56 years, where he met and maintained many close friendships. According to his wife Mary Lou, Vince was the smoothest dancer this side of heaven and in his younger years he never missed a dance anywhere in Cape Breton.
Vince will be missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Lou (McNeil); son, Vincent (Mona); grandchildren, Shelby (Naryan), and Devon (Kyra); sister-in-law, Margaret; nephews, Paul (Jocelyn), Christopher (Robert) and niece Patricia Lynn (Roger).
Besides his parents, Vince was predeceased by sister Patricia, and brother Francis.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 15th, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at T.J. Tracey Funeral Home, 370 Reserve Street, Glace Bay. A Celebration of life will be held at 10:00 am Monday, September 16th, 2024, with Fr. Norman McPhee presiding in St. Anne’s Parish, 695 Main Street, Glace Bay.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
