Obituary of Theresa Pink

Theresa Pink Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Theresa Pink, age 82, in Seaview Manor, on September 2, 2024, with her loving family surrounding her. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Annie (Dicks) Shaw. Theresa was a quick witted and tell it like it is woman, always joking and happy. She was an extremely hard-working lady who tirelessly helped her husband David and son Chris with their fishing boats. She was an avid skater, swimmer, and walker; Theresa loved hockey, and was a season ticket holder of the C.B. Oilers, never missing a game with her sister Marie. Theresa’s true joy was the love of family, she idolized her only child, her son Chris and her grandchildren were her source of pride and joy. Theresa is survived by her granddaughters, the loves of her life, Candice Pink (Charles Groves) and Cameron Pink (Dawson Ivison); great granddaughters, Madeline, and Amelia; one sister, Jeanette Murrin, and Wilfred (Shirley) Shaw; she will be greatly missed by her two loving nieces, Nina Kirby, and Nancy Harroun. As well as nieces, nephews, and friends. Along with her parents, Theresa was predeceased by her husband David and son Christopher; brothers, Richard, Fabian, Gerald, Melvin, and Tom; sisters, Margaret Marie, and Helen. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, September 16, 2024 in T. J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, N.S. (902-849-4199).
