Obituary of George Earl Zinck

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Earl Zinck, age 82, of East Dover, NS on August 30, 2024, at the QEII Victoria General Hospital.
Born in East Dover, NS, he was the son of Richard William and Annie Pearl (Foote) Zinck.
He was the top appliance technician with Camco for a number of years, retiring in 1987 to fulfill his dream of becoming a full-time fisherman. He retired from fishing in September 2016. He was the president and treasurer of PAFFA for the past 20 plus years. George was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays. He very much enjoyed watching the games with his son, Rick. He was an avid flower and vegetable gardener. George took great pride in taking care of the Baptist Cemetery in East Dover. The loves of his life were his family, whom he treasured most of all.
George is survived by his wife Mary Alice (Duggan) Zinck of 58 years, his son Richard William Zinck, daughter Heather Marie (Zinck) Fraser (Blair), sister Sharon Doreen (Zinck) Ross and his 5 grandchildren: Megan Annie Fraser, Brett George Fraser, Richard William Zinck, Noel Leo Zinck and Nathan Daniel Zinck-Jollimore.
He was predeceased by his parents, brothers, Gil, Garfield, Stanley, Kenneth, Gordon, Balfour, Thomas, Sidney and Lawrence. Sisters; Nema Whalen, Thelma Morash, Frances Crooks, Hilda Boutilier, Alice Bell, Margaret Bell, Effie Corney and Amy Boutilier.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place at a later date.
