Obituary of Vera May MacSwain

Vera May (nee Brackett) MacSwain, age 89, the daughter of Kathleen Dorothy Brackett (Manual) and Edward Joseph Brackett died peacefully in her home on December 1, 2017 surrounded by her family. Vera spent most of her life in Halifax and loved the North End. She also loved doing jigsaw puzzles, knitting, crocheting, baking and staying up all night playing cards. Vera is survived by her brother, Jackie in British Columbia; her children, Harold, Paulette (Albert), Kathy (René), Allen, Edward, Tamara (Alden), and Kevin (Linda); as well as many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Vera was predeceased by her husband, Gerald MacSwain; her son, Gerald; her brothers, Edward Gerald, James, Clyde and Leo; and her sisters, Evelyn and Patricia. A service will be held May 9th, 2018.
