I am so sad to hear about Mike. I knew him through Mark and then worked with him at Walker's Wharf. We used to accidentally meet up at Keji for a few years. Mike always laughed about the fact that we drove 2 hours to camp and only lived 10 to 15 minutes apart. If Mark were still alive he would be reminiscing about the " Gimme 3 pub ", the old times, going downtown and card games. They were very close back in the day. Mike will absolutely be missed. Molly and Jenna, you won't remember me from Keji but my heart goes out to you at the loss of your father. My condolences to the LeBlanc family, may your memories hold him close to you.

Michael was our neighbour for several years in Broad Cove .As we got to know him we really appreciated his friendship . His enjoyment of cooking , baking and entertaining was a big part of who he was. He often shared his delicious berry dessert with his neighbours. He was so animated when he spoke of his 'girls' and so very proud to be a grandfather. This kind, gentle soul was taken too soon and will be missed bay all who knew him. My sincerest condolences to the family. I worked with Mike in the Learning Centre at Harrietsfield Elementary for the 2012-2013 school year. He was an incredible support to the students and staff he worked with. I learned a lot from him. Look for the signs that he's still with you - I hope you take comfort in those moments. Dear Shirley, Jenna, Molly, Cathy, Susan, Tim, Dawn, Diane, Kevin and families, My deepest sympathies to all of you. Finding it hard to believe my best friend, Mike, has passed away. We had close to 50 years of friendship and lots of memories. One that comes to mind is the Gimme 3 Pub where Mike and I enjoyed hours and hours of music and beer. Even now a certain song will come on the radio and it brings me back to those days in his basement. Another is of Mike raiding the closets of his brothers and sisters for clothes to wear for a night on the town. He was always so particular about what he wore. All through the years we kept in touch with each other spending hours on the phone laughing and chatting about life and its challenges. He always cared about what was going on in my life and I enjoyed hearing about his. When he had a health scare recently his biggest concern wasn’t his health and mortality, it was his girls. Molly and Jenna were his top priority and they filled him with pride and joy. My wife and I promised him we’d visit next time we were in Nova Scotia and were hoping it would be this year, but I guess that will have to wait until we see each other on the other side. To the Leblanc family with special prayers for Molly and Jenna. The Maynard family send along our prayers and condolences on the unexpected passing of Mike. I grew up with Mike in my younger years in Spryfield near Roaches pond, we played many sports together, was always entertaining when Mike and Kevin would get into brotherly love spats, never lasted long and no one really came out on top, what made it interesting. In the parenting years Mike’s girls grew up with my girls who went to school together and played various sports together. The most joyous memories would have to be those spent camping in Kiji; oh how Mike enjoyed the bike rides, entertaining the children and the nightly campfires. Special mention of annual soccer games in Keji. Mike will be missed but knowing how much he enjoyed life and his girls helps to ease the pain as his spirit will continue to live through his children and grandchildren. What remember most about uncle Mike was his beautiful smile. When Carrie , Tracy and I were much younger ( before you girls were even born) Your Dad lived below us on Phillip Street one of his first apartments.He would always great us with a smile and laughter as we played in the yard. He was a kind man with big heart. He loved you girls so much. Rest in Peace Uncle Mike.
