Robert ‘Chink’ Alan Snow
Donkin
It is with broken hearts that we the family announce the sudden passing of Robert Alan Snow, age 58, on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at home with Barbara by his side.
Born in Hamilton, Ontario, and resided in Donkin most of his life. Alan was the son of the late Robert and Kathleen (Penman) Snow.
For many years, Chink was employed as a carpenter with B & B Contracting and later became a lobster fisherman. He enjoyed tinkering in the backyard and going lobster fishing.
Alan is survived by his loving partner and best friend of 13 years, Barbara Aucoin; brother, Lee (Diane); sisters, Linda (John) Rhodes, and Lisa Snow (Kenny); brothers-in-law, Jimmy (Michelle) Aucoin and Hugh Aucoin as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Stephen Thomas and his in-laws, Jim, and Lila Aucoin.
Cremation has taken place under the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, N.S. 902-849-4199. As per Alan’s wishes, there will be no services. Memorial donations may be made to the Diabetics Association.
The family would like to thank all of Alan’s doctors and nurses, VON’s and very special thank you to Emily Hatcher for all her care and compassion given to Robert during his illness.
