Obituary of Deborah Ann Wells

Please share a memory of Deborah to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Deborah Ann Wells (Trites). Debbie was born in Halifax on March 21, 1956 and lived her life in Dartmouth. She was a daughter of the late Clarence & Ludgarde (Lou) Trites. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family in the afternoon of July 13th. Debbie was a devoted wife, mother, sister and Nana. She ran an in-home day care for numerous children throughout the years. Some of them still visited Debbie long after they had grown because they considered her not only a caregiver but family. This was because Debbie treated all of “her kids” as if they were her own and she loved them all. Debbie was an avid reader, often reading three or four books at a time, and enjoyed playing games on her iPad. Her most favourite thing to do was to spend time with her grandchildren. Debbie was a kind, caring and generous woman who would do anything for those she loved. Left to mourn are her husband of 45 years Kevin Wells, son James (Shauna), daughter Amy (Terry), grandsons Hunter & Ryder, Wesley and her bonus granddaughter, Autumn. Also, her brothers Mark (Jennifer) Trites, Brian Trites, and her sisters Lorraine (Milford) Quinn and Kathy Trites. Debbie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Debbie was predeceased by her parents, Clarence & Ludgarde (Lou) Trites, parents in law Mary & John Romo, her sisters Susan Trites, Maureen Nauss and her sister-in-law Donna Trites. She was also predeceased by her beloved baby boy Joshua Mark Wells. Debbie will be missed by so many, but her memory will live on with her children and grandchildren. A special thank you to Mark & Jennifer Trites for always being there for Debbie’s appointments and showing unconditional love and support to the very end. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will occur at the family home, Dartmouth on Saturday, July 20th, from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the IWK Health Centre, Halifax, N.S. or memoriesofyou1956@hotmail.com to support her husband as he moves forward in maintaining the home that they lovingly created together. “There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in my heart.” – Gandhi
