Obituary of Francis McKillop

We are saddened to announce the passing of Francis McKillop, 76, at home, on July 5, 2024. Born in Glace Bay, Francis was the son of the late Edward and Wilena McKillop. Francis was an employee with Devco until his retirement. He was also a musician who loved to sing and play his guitar. He played with many local bands over the years. Francis is survived by his son, Shawn (Felicia) McKillop; daughters, Danielle (James) Sifnakis and Nicole Warren; brothers, Eddy McKillop, Kevin McKillop and John (Gwen) McKillop; sisters, Mary (Vince) Landry and Diane Jewels; grandchildren, Charles Warren, Brea Warren, Emma Warren and Liam Sifnakis; and one great-grandchild, Manola Warren. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 6 Churchill Drive, Sydney, NS, 902-539-7175. There will be no visitation. A private graveside service will take place in Greenwood Cemetery in Glace Bay. The family would like to thank the doctors and medical team who took care of Francis during his illness.
