Please share a memory of Catherine "Cathy" to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with profound sadness our family announces the passing of Catherine Lorraine Lawlor on June 22 after a courageous battle with cancer. Cathy was born June 4, 1967, in Halifax, the daughter of the late Bernard (Bernie) and Isabel (Zwicker) Lawlor.
In addition to her mother, Cathy is survived, loved and missed by sister Carolyn (Paul), Enfield, brothers Stephen (Amanda), Halifax, Mark (Leah), Timberlea, special niece Lilly, nephews Randy (Katie), Tyler, Brendan, Jordan, great nieces and nephews Alexis, Abby, Landen, Hayden, Owen, Taliyah and Brynn, uncles Gerard (late Jean) and Roy (Roselle), aunt Linda and cousins.
In addition to her father, Cathy was predeceased by grandparents Martin and Josie Lawlor, Guy and Matilda Zwicker, uncle Jack Lawlor.
Cathy’s circle of close friends was very important throughout her life and especially so during her illness.
She was a loving caretaker for her parents for the past number of years, and enjoyed taking her Mum on weekly sight-seeing drives.
Cathy worked as assistant store manager at Home Depot for 20 years in Halifax and at Dairy Queen for a number of years as assistant manager. She loved to play ball and enjoyed watching all sports. She was an annual visitor to Stanfest and 20-plus Lawlor family reunions at Roy and Roselle’s cottages at Salmon River Lake.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of Halifax Infirmary CVICU 5.1, and doctors Anderson, Baskett, Giacomantonio, Rayson and Wood.
