Obituary of Gregory (Greg) Steven Barnes

Gregory Steven Barnes August 6, 1973- June 15, 2024. Tower Rd, Cape Breton It is with the deepest sorrow, that we announce the sudden passing of our dear Gregory. Greg was born on August 6, 1973, grew up in Florence and on the North Side. Though he took a few trips away, the Island he loved so much always seemed to call him home. Greg had a great love for tech, music and singing, spending time with his friends, pool, crafting, CB Radio, Sci-Fi and of course Star Trek… he spoke Klingon fluently. Greg adored his community, helping any person in any way he could. Those who had the honour of knowing Greg, knew he had a heart of pure gold. Gregory leaves behind his angel Katy, who was a close as a daughter; of whom he was fiercely proud, and her fiancé Justin, his Mother Lorraine and stepfather Clarence, his siblings Chesley (Nicole), Lisa (Ben), Libby (Marty), his many nieces and nephews, and his beloved puppies Willow and R2. Gregory is predeceased by his father George and brother Herbert George. In lieu of flowers, may we suggest donating your time or a gift to your local charities. Gregory will be missed by all.
