Obituary of Gerald Hugh Casey

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Gerald “Gerry” Casey of Halifax, Nova Scotia, age 79, on June 14, 2024. He was the son of Phyllis Dorothy Bishop and Gerald Frederick Casey. Gerry was a congenial, witty, engaging person who loved meeting people and telling endless stories about his life and experiences. Most of all, he was a true family man who loved his children and grandchildren more than anything else. Gerry spent most of his working life as an entrepreneur who loved what he did and remained true to it until his illness prevented him from continuing any longer. He is remembered by his loving wife, Cathy; children, Sean (Andrea), Jamie (Laura), Ryan (Kelly) and Laura (Christopher); his beautiful grandchildren, Sawyer, Paige, Dylan, Hannah, Ali, Lukas and Sophia; and his sister, Julie Walker (John). He was a proud grandfather to his seven grandchildren and loved watching them grow. Gerry will be remembered by his family and friends as a warm, funny, unique person who loved life and adventure. He will be missed. The family has arranged a farewell event that will take place in T.J.
