Obituary of Brian Cyril Hobin

Brian Cyril Hobin (74) of Halifax, NS died at the QEII – Halifax Infirmary June 14, 2024. He was the son of Cyril Joseph Hobin and Edna (Anne) Elizabeth Hobin/Verge. Brother of Jean Margaret Hobin (all predeceased). Brian attended St. Patricks High School and St. Mary’s University. Graduate of CDI (programmer analyst). He was Deacon of the Roman Catholic Church. Worked in many trades, also as a sales associate at O.G.A; Kents; Home Depot and Canadian Tire. Purchasing agent, Forgies; Keddy’s Enterprises; N.S Power and Sivaco (Assistant Manager). Brian loved skiing, curling, sailing and baseball. He was a long-term Spryfield resident, moved to Fairview, Halifax. He was a past member of the Fairview Legion. Survived by his wife, Marcia Coolen/Hobin; sons, Sean Brian Hobin and Christopher Stuart Hobin; daughter in-law, Rebalyn Keating; grandson, Morgan Keating; niece, Pamela Sullivan/Grey, Brian Grey and family; cousins, Sharon Hobin, George Hobin and family; Barbara Verge and Family; Barry Twohig/Joyce; Deborah Twohig and family; Wayne Twohig and family; Gary Twohig, Novella and Family; Peter Twohig, Beverley and Family; Velma & Stephen Twohig & Family. Brian will be greatly missed! There will be no Service or Celebration of Life at his request. All prayers are welcome!
