Obituary of Matthew (Matt) Douglas McIsaac

Matthew Douglas McIsaac Dominion/Halifax, N.S. With broken hearts, the family would like to announce the passing of Matthew Douglas McIsaac, age 42, of Halifax, formerly of Dominion, NS. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on June 7, 2024. Born in Glace Bay, he was son of Blair (deceased) and Catherine. Matt worked most of his career as a Chef in Halifax where he made and kept many close friends. No matter how busy Matt got he always kept in touch with his childhood friends in Dominion. He touched many lives and will be sadly missed. A special thanks to Mike and Katie who Matt depended on so much over the last couple of years. He is survived by his mother Catherine, and Aunt Mary; brother Michael (Nadine), niece and nephew, Clara, and Justin of Jasper; brother Ian (Allison), nephew and niece, Sam, and Michelle of Dominion. Matt is also survived by several aunts and uncles, as well as many cherished cousins. Matt was predeceased by his father, Blair. By request, there will be a small Celebration of Life from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Friday, June 14, 2024, in T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 71 McQuade Lake Crescent, Halifax, N.S. (902)835-2471. Interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Bridgeport, at a later date with Father Daniel Boudreau presiding. Family flowers only.
