Obituary of Marilyn Regina Goora

Marilyn Regina Goora (nee Maloney), 84, of Bedford, NS passed away Sunday June 2, 2024 at home. Born in Sydney Mines,Cape Breton, NS she was the daughter of Clifford and Theresa Taylor. Marilyn was strong in her faith and a true servant of God. She spent most of her time serving in her church. Marilyn is survived by her son, Clifford William Walker Maloney of Orleans, ON (Janet Falle); daughter, Ivy Therese Dignard of Bedford, NS (Dean Gillam); grandchildren, Alyssa Dignard (P.E.I), Jacob Mahfouz and Sarah Mahfouz, Liam Maloney; great-grandchildren, Emmett and Damien Mahfouz. She was predeceased by both her parents; first husband, David Maloney; second husband, Sami Goora; sister, Anne Marie Michalopoulos. A funeral service will be held Monday 17 June 2024 at 12:00pm in St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 5 Bedford Street, Bedford, NS B4A 1W5 wit Father Paul officiating. Interment at a later in Cape Breton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, Bedford NS.
