Dear Sylvia, Anita, Karen and Jim. My sister Bev sent me your dad’s obituary. I often think of our little world of Newton Street and May Street. I remember how under your front step was a great hiding spot for hide and seek. I hope all is well with you.

Dear Jennie and family, I was saddened to hear of York’s passing. I have fond memories of Uncle York, both from visits to Grand Mira and from a few Florida vacations when I was able to share a few meals, music, and laughter. To all York’s loved ones: I taught withYork and had an office across the hall in our little corner of the old building . He was.a GEM. A true gentleman, such a good teacher and always found humour in many every day events . I can hear his laugh now. I saw the respect students had for him demonstrated every day. I know he’ll be missed, but the good memories you’ll all have will mean he will not be forgotten. Sincerest condolences . Gail Muir

My sincere condolences to York’s family. He was a wonderful mentor to me when we coached together at UCCB. York had a lot of common sense and he was very level headed; skills that he used to help him deal with my energetic personality. He was very loyal and a true friend and mentor to me. Rest In Peace, York.

Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of Mr. MacEachern. I attended what was then NSEIT from 1972 to 1974. I took one of his accounting classes the first year and played on the basketball team during my second year. He was truly knowledgeable about basketball and instilled a positive attitude and dedicated work ethic in all his players. My thoughts and prayers are with you, the family, during this most difficult time.

I graduated from UCCB with the Business class of 78. York was one of the teaching professionals that everyone respected for his dedication to students. I also played on the basketball team and his sense of strong but fair play was evident in practice and during games. His positive leadership was on display everyday for all to follow. My sincere sympathies to his family.

So sad to hear that Uncle York passed. The obit was a beautiful tribute and so true. He was loved by by all who knew him. I remember when he used to babysit us and he would bring his guitar, first time I ever saw one and heard the beautiful music he created. I was 7 or 8 at the time. I have loved guitar music ever since. He will be missed. My heart goes out to all of you. Love Colleen
