Obituary of Jada Rae Lynn Carvery
Please share a memory of Jada to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Age 25, of Halifax, passed away tragically on May 24, 2024, as a passenger in a motor vehicle accident in New Brunswick.
Jada had many struggles, but she always kept her head up and had the most beautiful smile. She had a big heart and would do anything to help friends, family, and even strangers. She was incredibly thoughtful, known to spontaneously bring people gifts and cards to show her love and appreciation. She always put others before herself, giving the clothes off her back without hesitation. Jada was known for her sharp intelligence and the ability to express herself beautifully in writing.
Jada enjoyed spending time with her family, playing guitar, singing, making people laugh and being with her friends. She was always brave and smart and worked as an advocate to reform the child welfare system in Nova Scotia.
Jada left behind her son Kayleo, the most beautiful gift. Her love for Kayleo was boundless and beautiful. She will live on through him and in his beautiful eyes.
Jada is the daughter of Eddie and Catherine Carvery, her adoptive parents, and her Birth parents Wendall (Dinky) Carvery (Melanie), and Leslie Williams.
She is survived by her partner, Sharay Stevenson; brothers, Michael Kennedy, Eddy Carvery, Thomas Grant, Jaden Carvery and Jace Dirsh; sisters, Madison Carvery, Brooklynn Carvery, Isabel Carvery, and Janaya Dirsh; paternal grandfather, Edward Carvery; maternal grandmother, Katherine Forsyth; as well as many aunts, uncles, and loving cousins.
She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Stephen Williams; maternal grandmothers, Linda Reeves, and Thelma Hamood; and her Auntie, Lisa Marie.
She will live on in the hearts of many, but particularly in the heart of Dion Bowden, her best friend, who she referred to as her “brother from another mother.”
A special thank you to the Elizabeth Fry Society of Mainland Nova Scotia for all the time spent guiding, loving and taking care of Jada. You were her found family and an instrumental part of her life. She was loved by everyone at E Fry- they saw her light and helped her keep shining, even on the darkest days.
