Obituary of Donna Elaine Spurvey

With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, nannie, sister and best friend on May 25 with her loving family by her side. Donna was Born in Sydney on April 30, 1951, to the late Dan & Alice Penticost, Westmount. Donna was employed for 31 years with CBVRCE. She was a sweet person always wanting to help family and friends. Her devotion was evident by the care she provided to her Mom. Our “Bionic Rock” was always worried about others and refused to slow down and take care of herself. Donna is survived by her loving husband, Dennis; son, Rick (Marie); daughter, Melissa Danielson (Greg Smith); stepdaughters, Natasha (Sheldon), Candace (Ryan), Ashley; stepson, Troy; grandchildren, Tristan, Zoe, Demi, Bobo, Spencer, Riley, Brooklyn, Myles, Avery, Sierra, and Tyler; sisters, Eileen Kerr, Sylvia Tower, Sandra MacLean (Alan), Valerie Donovan (Tom), Helen MacDonald (Charlie), Marlene Harrietha (Brian) and Debbie Peters (Doug); brothers, Dan & Brian; Honorary sisters, Dalphine Barossi & Donna Kearney, and Honorary brother, Kenny Miller. Donna was predeceased by sister, Gladys Hewer, sister-in-law, Harriet Penticost, brothers-in-law, Lloyd Kerr, Herbie Hewer, Bill Tower, and nephew Shane Noseworthy. She will be forever missed by her loving nieces and nephews and by everyone whose life she touched. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 6 Churchill Drive, Sydney, Sydney, 902-539-7175. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 29, 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
