Our deepest condolences to Pat and the Surette family. Dave and I have been friends with the Surette family for years and have had the pleasure of meeting Caren many times. She was a lovely lady that always had a big smile for whomever she met. Her will to live life was amazing. Caren will always be remembered for the beautiful soul that she was.
RIP Caren........and Pat, I’m hopeful that you and the family will find comfort with the knowledge that Caren was loved and respected by many. The Jessop's.

For many years I taught in the classroom right next to Caren's, and there was never a time....not once....that I heard her raise her voice in dealing with some of the more spirited members of her classroom.( and there were many!) She taught as she lived her life, with kindness, consideration, compassion and love. We enjoyed her great sense of humour, and the lovely smile that lit up her face. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and colleagues. Our sincere condolences to Pat and all of Caren's family and friends. Carol and Donnie Webb.

I was very saddened to hear that dear Caren Surette has passed. I taught with her in Hillside Park School for many years and she was friendly to all staff members and children alike — consistently pleasant and kind to others: Teaching in Elementary school can be a stressful job at times but Caren remained unflappable throughout. It was touching to read final comments to us here from Caren so I have some words for her I wish to leave now … From Philippians 1, Verse 3 (KJV) “I thank my God upon every remembrance of thee”.
And PS I send heartfelt condolences to Pat…
with love from Mary Burnight
