My sympathy goes out to all of Pauline’s loved ones at this sad time.
I know Pauline will be missed. I first met her about 60 years ago, and have many memories of a time that was.
Pauline never changed ,,,,always happy and smiling, and to be in her presence was to be nearly as energized as she was!! I’m hoping to be able to attend her funeral tomorrow and be able to meet the “children” and Reggie.
Love and Prayers, Betty.

I met Pauline decades ago when we were both employed at Credit Union Central in Halifax. I hadn't seen her in many years, until I moved a few years ago and discovered her niece Donalda is my close neighbour. Pauline never changed in all those years, still the same sweet lady, so fun to be around. My sincere condolences to Pauline's family. RIP Pauline, you will be missed.

More than 75 years ago my mother, Betty Devanney, moved her small family (two sons) into a house on Bayers Road, next door to one of the largest, and surely the most welcoming, family on the street. I always appreciated how kind and considerate the MacDougal’s were to us. Pauline was especially friendly to my mother and I am pleased to post the attached photo of her as a young woman which I found in my mother’s photo album.
Louanne and I over many years would meet Pauline in the Halifax Shopping Centre where she would invariably be chatting animatedly with one of her many, many good friends and acquaintances. We were also happy to attend Pauline’s 75 birthday celebration at the Ashburn Golf Club hosted by her children attended by a huge number of her friends. That event was like Old Home Week rolled into one evening. I wish to express our condolences on her loss to her children Patrice, Denise and Douglas, all of whom I also knew as very fine students at Halifax West High School where I worked, and to her grandchildren, and to Pauline’s brother Reggie, my long-time friend, former school-mate, and colleague.

To Pauline’s family,
Your dear mother was my favourite customer in the late 70’s and early 80’s when I worked in a little fashion shop in Bedford and I was impressed by how gracious and charming and warm she was…….and how very pleasant!
Our paths only have crossed rarely over the decades since……… but……every single time I was struck by these same and rare qualities.
Our last chance meeting was just a year ago and she was just as lovely as ever, I believe we bonded over our love in and pride over our children ……….we always talked about that and it was so evident that you all were her everything!!!!!
My heart goes out to you during these difficult days as you face this new phase of Life……..may your memories bring you comfort, and may God grant you the strength and courage you might need.
You have my sincere and deepest sympathy.

Dear Patrice, Denise and Douglas. So sorry to hear the news of your mom's passing. I met Pauline many years ago, and never had a day with her that we were not laughing. She was so funny, and outgoing, everyone was naturally drawn to her. We kept in touch over the years, and as soon as I heard her voice, we would start laughing about something that happened years ago. She was a beautiful, kind, generous person and a treasure to all who knew her. There are so many wonderful memories to help through these sad days. May her memory be a blessing to your family.
