It is with much sadness that I write this short note to the family of Pat. We were very upset to hear about this tremendous loss for the family. I have known the entire family for decades and have had an inseparable relationship with Dave, Christine and boys. While I only met Pat a few times, we feel your loss. At a time like this there is often little someone can say to make everyone feel better. But know when I say that in time, at your own pace your immense grief will gradually be replaced with loving thoughts and memories of a nice man and a life well lived. To everyone in the family know that others share in your grief, we know your are sad but in some small way we hope that these tributes and little notes help to lighten the burden you carry. Our thoughts and prayers and wishes of love go out to each and everyone of you. Adam, Susan, Logan and Brooke Hunter.

Daddy dad always brought joy to any room he entered. He was very loving and knew how to make anyone smile. I will miss hearing him playing his guitar and hearing him sing with the whole penney family. You will be so missed, I am sorry I wasn’t able to say goodbye. I love you so much ❤️

Where does one start to praise this man. Mert grew up with Pat and the Penney family until they moved to Ontario. They came back every year to Nova Scotia. They were like brothers and sisters. Pat was such a charismatic personality and that voice should have been at the Grand Ole Opry. Pat was a devoted father, grandfather and adored his wife, my dear friend, Leona. Pat was always the life of the party, great host and “the best entertainer”. We will miss his smile, charm and charisma. Soar high Paddy. All our love to you all, Mert and Linda Rose
