Obituary of Deborah Elizabeth Dean

Age 76, of Halifax passed away on April 14, 2024 in the QEII Victoria General Site. Born in Halifax she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Rhoda Smith. Debbie was a long-time resident of Fairview. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed doing puzzles, reading, and knitting that she donated to various organizations. With her kind spirit and sense of humor she stole the hearts of everyone she met. She is survived by her son James (Jennifer) Dean of Lantz; daughters, Carrie Rafuse of Halifax, Angela (Brian) Dort of Fall River; grandchildren, Jessica (Thomas), Asa, Michael, Emma, Nicholas, Emmy, Ethan, and Raine. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Dean; sister, Leslie Snair. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 26, 2024 at 2pm in The Common Room of 3 Ford Street, Halifax. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Halifax. Special thank you to the staff and volunteers of the Palliative Care Unit 7A of the Victoria General Hospital.
