Obituary of Alexander (Alex) Roberts

Alexander (Alex) Roberts, 78 Glace Bay, N.S. Alexander (Alex) Roberts has completed his journey of life on April 4, 2024, at the age of 78, in the Glace Bay Healthcare Complex, with his niece Belinda Vacheresse by his side. Born in Glace Bay, N.S. on March 11, 1946, he was the son of the late Alfred and Mary Jane Roberts. Alex was a retired coal miner. He found joy in going for drives and outings to Membertou with his nephew George, as well as dancing, hunting, playing cards and checkers with his late brother Duddy. Alex is survived by his children Theresa Driscoll of Glace Bay, Mark of British Columbia, stepchildren Amanda (Brian) Curry, Deborah Ayre (Blair), Laura (Ernie) Landry, and Todd Ayre, sister-in-law Theresa Roberts, as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Along with his parents, Alex was predeceased by his wife Florence (Flo), brothers Alfred, and Frederick (Duddy); sister Mary Saccary and sister-in-law Shirley Roberts. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. 902-849-4199. As per Alex wish, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service. Our family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and staff of 3 South in the Glace Bay Hospital and Palliative Care for their compassionate support.
