Obituary of Michael Lloyd Brann

Age 60 of Newport. It is with heavy hearts that the family of Michael Lloyd Brann announce his sudden passing March 5, 2024 at home. He is survived by partner, Kathy; children, Jason (Chelsey) Hughes, Terri-Lynn (Darryl) Hughes, Allison Cassibo (Dale), and Tabitha Warren (Kene); grandchildren, Lillian Warren and Carter Cassibo; sisters, Carol Kennedy (Jimmy), and Lynn Cusack (Butch); and parents, Lloyd and Karen Brann. He is also survived by Valerie, the mother of his daughter Allison, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Dad was one of a kind and to know him you were lucky. He loved quietly but deeply and would give the shirt off his back without thinking twice to someone in need. He had a sense of humour like no other and has left us with a lifetime of laughter through memories. He worked hard his entire adult life doing mostly auto body work which he was entirely self taught. He could always say ‘I painted that truck’ anytime he was out, and no one could understand how he knew. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of T. J. A celebration of life will be held in the Ardoise Community Hall, 3 Ardoise School Rd., Ellershouse, NS B0N 1L0, on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 1:00pm. He will then be taken home to Cape Breton where a service will be held in T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists 370 Reserve Street, Glace Bay, NS, B1A 4X2 on Saturday, March 16, 2024, visitation from 11:00 am- 12:00 pm with the service to follow at 12:00pm.
