Obituary of Henry Harold Boyd

We are sad to announce that Henry Harold Boyd of Halifax, Nova Scotia unexpectedly passed away on February 2, 2024 at the age of 74. He was a son of the late, Mae Winniferd (List) and Frank Stanley Boyd Senior. He leaves behind his wife, Jennifer; children; Trevor, and Robyn (Terry) Thomas; grandson, Archer; sisters, Muriel (John) States, Evelyn (Claude) Bricault, Clara (Joseph) McCarthy; brothers, Ivan (Linda) and Anthony (Jennifer); as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Henry was preceded by his parents; sister, Juanita Marie Seale; brothers, Frank Stanley Boyd Jr., and George Elroy Boyd. For over 40 years, he served as a Warehouse Worker for Sobeys Incorporated; Roy O’Brien Limited and Loblaws Companies Limited. He was actively involved with his local labor union holding various official positions. Henry enjoyed building models especially cars and drawing. He also had a love of science fiction, both in books and other media. His all-time favorite was the original Star Trek series. He was known for his good sense of humor and his contagious laughter among his friends. His departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound and is gravely felt by his entire family and countless others who loved him. He will be forever missed. A private graveside service will be held in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in remembrance to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
