Obituary of Mary Suzanne MacQuarrie

Mary Suzanne “Sue” MacQuarrie Glace Bay Mary Suzanne “Sue” MacQuarrie passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Glace Bay Hospital, with her family by her side. Born in Glace Bay, to the late Henry and Zoe (Demeyere) Bettens. She lived all her life in Glace Bay. She loved to skate and read, but most of all loved spending time with her two great grandchildren Grady and Landen who she referred to as “Nana’s boys.” Sue is survived by her daughter Wendy MacLeod; grandson, Jeffrey (Maureen); granddaughter Ainslie (Matthew) Ellsworth; two great grandsons, Grady and Landen Ellsworth. She is also survived by brother Jack (Catherine) Bettens, and sister, Agnes MacPherson, as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Allan; son-in-law, Kevin, brother Frank; sisters, Bertha, Paula, and Simone. Cremation has taken place.
