We were extremely saddened to read of Cy's recent passing. We have known Cy and Mabel for a long time whether if it was camping at Seal Island Campground or for myself playing golf at Seaview or our favorite course, the Highland Links in Ingonish which at one time when we were younger, played at least twice a week, three times a day just for $8.00 dollars a day. One thing we learned about Cy as we got to know him was that NO was not part of his vocabulary. To Raymond, Brian, the Wagner Family and his closes friends out sincere condolences at this most difficult time. For those who knew Cy, consider it a privilege, you had a friend for life. RSIP friend. RON and Claire Clarke

Karen and I had known Cy and Mable for about 50 years and we can never recall a moment that wasn’t fun. Mabel would always warn me when I’d challenge Cy to either a game of checkers or crokinole, “do you know what you’re getting yourself into?” I never won a game but I loved participating just to see the smile on Cy’s face when he won yet again. To all of the Wagner family that are left to morn the loss, our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very difficult time.

Our sincere condolences to Raymond, Brian, their wives and families,
Cy was an amazing, gentle man with a beautiful smile and an incredible sense of humor. He leaves behind an amazing legacy of children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, as well as many, many friends, who had the pleasure to know him and to love him. He and Mabel were an amazing couple. Their visits were always so much fun because they both had an amazing way of entertaining their friends. They will both be missed greatly by everyone who knew and loved them, but now, Cy can be together again with his first and only love. Rest in peace Cy. You will always be remembered by those who knew and loved you!

Ray and Brian. So sorry to hear about your Dad. I recall playing golf with Cy and Roy. Dad and I carried the full bags of clubs, but Cy only played with a seven iron and a putter. I asked him if he wanted to share with me. He said, “no, this is all I need”. He ended the round with the lowest score!
