Queenie Gouthro, 84, passed away February 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Born August 11, 1939, to the late Roddie and Tillie (McIsaac) Tomiczek, Queenie lived most of her life in Dominion. As a young teenager, when her mother passed away, Queenie stepped into the Mom role to her younger siblings. She continued to live her life loving and caring for children, not only within her own family, but countless others through her many volunteer positions supporting the youth of Dominion.
Mom will be missed by her daughters, Judi Gouthro, Dominion, Elizabeth Gouthro- Sammon (Mark Duffney) Port Morien, Meg (Dave) Ellsworth, Dominion. Adored Grandchildren, Katie (Josh) Armstrong, Daniel Gouthro (Rachel Vickerson), Katharine (Devon) Gouthro-Burke, Jill (Matt) Oliver, Dylan Sammon (Emily Gilbert), and Julia Ellsworth (Kevin Haley). Cherished Great-grandsons, Henry, Jack and Dean Armstrong and Bodie Gouthro-Burke. Brothers, Gregor (Elaine) Tomiczek and Victor (Norma) Tomiczek, Dominion. Sisters, Ellen (Duck) MacAulay, Dominion, and Shirley (Stephen) Brown, Bedford. Daughter-in-law, Helen Gouthro Dominion. Many special nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Besides her parents, Queenie was predeceased by her husband Russell and their only son Paul. Brothers Bruno, Stanley, Duddie, Pat, Walter, Jimmy, Murdock, and John Michael. Sisters, Tillie Citrigno and Polly Power.
Queenie lived up to her name. She was our Queen, and we will hold her love in our hearts forever.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Dominion Firehall, Monday, February 19, 4-5 p.m. with open house to follow from 5-7 p.m.
