Obituary of Beverly 'Bev' Louise White

Beverly White, 79 Glace Bay, N.S. It is with great sadness that we the family of Beverly White, 79, of Glace Bay, announce her passing at home on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. Bev was the daughter of the late Albert and Hazel Hall. In her younger years Bev waitressed at several local restaurants and worked retail for 10 years at Alteens Jewelry Store. Bev loved to dance, going for lovely long walks, and enjoyed a good game of Bingo. Whenever you saw Bev, she was always done up, and she loved her Bling. But most of all, Bev treasured her family with all her heart, she cherished the time spent with each and everyone of them. Bev is survived by her husband Alex White of 52 years; two sons: Todd (Audrey) and Terry (Lori); sister Wendy (Mike) Curtis; two grandchildren: Elizabeth White and Samual White; two special aunts: Chrissie Putt and Joan Jenkins; as well as extended family. Along with her parents, Bev was predeceased by brothers Bobby (sister-in-law Patsy) Hall, Allie Hall, and Wayne in infancy, as well as her granddaughters Kayla and Sara White. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, from 2-3 p.m., with a Celebration of Life to follow at 3 p.m., all in T.J. Tracey Funeral Home, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. 902-849-4199. Bev was a great supporter of The Heart and Stroke Foundation, the family request that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Our family would like to thank the New Waterford Homecare, Dr. Trevor Guy, and the staff on 4B in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, the Cape Breton Regional Police, Officer Kyra Clarke, EHS, and T.J.
