Obituary of Myrna Nicholson

Age 77 of Timberlea passed away January 29, 2024, in Halifax. Born in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Charles Robert and Jessie Leona Sawler. Myrna passed away peacefully with family by her side following a long and courageous battle with lung disease. Myrna loved spending time with family and friends, she enjoyed camping, playing cards and playing darts and could always be counted on to bring out her guitar and play a good ol' country song. She will be fondly remembered for her strength, determination, and love of life. Survived by her son, Daniel (Denise) Nicholson; daughter, Tammy (Stephane) Chouinard; brother, Charles Sawler; sisters, Doreen Skinner, Judy (Bill) Lafford, Margaret (Clarrey) MacDonald; grandchildren, Stephanie Nicholson, Cassandra (Jeff) Scanlon, Zacharie (Sonia) Chouinard, Richard Nicholson; greatgrandchildren, Rylie Nicholson; and several Nieces and Nephews. Myrna was predeceased by her husband, Michael Nicholson; brothers, Aubrey, Prescott, Daniel, Wayne, and Bruce; sisters, Effie, Barbara, and Rosemary. A Visitation will be held Friday February 2 from 6pm-8pm in T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialist, 71 McQuade Lake Crescent, Halifax.
