A special thank you to Dr. Azer who has been so wonderful to her over the years.
Rita was a strong lady who always expected to live to 100. Even though she was 94, her passing wasn’t expected so soon. Never wait to tell people you love them, tell them when you get a chance. Rita was able to spend her entire life surrounded by people who loved her and who she loved. She enjoyed watching WWE and American Ninja Warrior with family. She loved EVERYTHING about Christmas. She looked forward to going on drives with Andre and David and she enjoyed going out with Ethel on weekends. She loved looking at pictures on Facebook when someone showed her. She enjoyed life and knew how much she was loved.
She was able to remain living at home until the end and was cared for by her granddaughter Sonya.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial mass and Celebration of Life will be officiated by Fr. Dan Boudreau on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Bridgeport. Internment in St. Eugene's Cemetery at a later date.
Years ago prior to her passing, Rita request live, potted plants and in lieu of cut flowers so the plants can live on in her memory.
