Obituary of Donna Lee Hillier

Hillier, Donna Lee, age 55, of Halifax passed away January 20th, 2018 in the QEII Hospital, VG Site. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of Frank and Frances (Christian) Hillier. Donna worked for Registry of Motor Vehicles for over 25 years. She enjoyed vacationing down south ‘fun in the sun’. Some of her favourite pastimes were boating, reading and spending time with good friends. “Friends are the family we choose for ourselves.” She will be truly missed by so many. Survived by daughter, Nicole Scallion; brother, Gary Hillier; sisters, Rose Brophy and Pat Dorion. Predeceased by sister, Irene Hartlen. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, St. Joseph’s Church, 3709 Prospect Road, Shad Bay. Immediately following the mass, please join us for refreshments and a reception in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, 7A at the VG.
