Sheri Lee Andrews
September 23, 1973-January 21, 2024
Glace Bay, NS
It is with heavy hearts that we the family say goodbye to our beautiful Sheri at the young age of 50 after a lengthy illness and heart surgery. Sheri was the daughter of Mary Lou Andrews and the late Thomas (Arnold) C. Andrews.
Sheri was the most kind, loving person who loved her family dearly. Her biggest joy in life was her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, whom she loved and cherished. We are at peace to know she is now with her dad as he was her favourite person in the world.
Sheri is survived by her mother Mary Lou Andrews who held her until she passed, and who also cared for her during her lengthy illness; her daughter Katelyn (Kris), son Austin, and her two sisters who supported her through this very difficult time, Melissa (Boo) and Allison (A.J.).
She is also survived by her grandchildren who were the light of her life Kaiya and Kalli; nieces and nephews Brittany, Samantha Leo, Nathan, and Sara; as well as great nieces and nephews Maddox, Mason, Quinten, and Hardin. Sheri will also be missed by her best friend Diane Burns who was always such a great friend to Sheri, and friend Liz White who was like a second mother and very supportive to Sheri and Mary Lou throughout her sickness.
Sheri was predeceased by her dad Arnold Andrews, grandparents Thomas and Theresa Andrews, and Peggy Smith and Roy McKay.
Arrangements have been entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, N.S. 902-849-4199. Cremation has taken place. Family and close friends are welcome to a celebration of life on Friday, January 26, 2024 after 2:00 p.m. at the family home.
Memorial donations in Sheri’s memory may be made to Mental Health Support Agencies or to Shriner’s Hospital.
Special thanks to the Toronto General Hospital for the great care that they gave to Sheri in her final days, and to the Golden Girls who helped care for her over the last few years.
