Obituary of George D.F Ashe

George D.F. Ashe, passed away after a quick and courageous battle with cancer, on January 23, 2024 in the QEII Victoria general site with his adult children and wife at his side. George is survived by his devoted wife, Violet; his previous wife, Sandra; 9 children; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; two sisters; and one brother, and many close, lifelong friends. Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia George, left for Toronto Ontario as a young man, and started on a lifelong career in the automotive business. Geroge later moved back to Nova Scotia and continued working up until he passed in his beloved career. George will be greatly missed and always remembered for his love of cars, fancy clothes, and his family. Special thank you to all the staff on unit 6B of the Victoria General Hospital for their compassion and dignified care until his journey end. Thanks to all the care sitters especially Sheila who became our family's adopted angel. Thanks to all dad’s friends who supported and loved on Geroge and the family until the end. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the palliative care unit at the Victoria General Hospital.
