Obituary of James Ralph Burchell

James “Jim” Ralph Burchell 78, passed away suddenly in the QEII Halifax Infirmary site, on December 27, 2023. Born May 24, 1945, in Halifax to the late, Ralph M Burchell and Orie M (Frittenburg) Burchell. Jim is survived by his daughter, Suzanne; sisters, Janet Bent (Bill), and Joyce Saunders (Peter); several nephews, and other extended family members. Jim grew up North Syndey and moved back to Halifax in the early 80’s to pursue his career in addiction services. Cremation has taken place and interment will be held later. The family of Jim would like to thank the staff at Northwood’s multiple campuses for their care of Jim over the past couple of years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any charity of your choice.
