Obituary of Wayne Joseph Bishop

It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of Wayne Bishop, age 66, at his home on Sunday, December 31, 2023. Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Eva and Joseph Bishop. In his younger years, he was employed with the militia for many years. Wayne enjoyed riding his bicycle around town. He has a big heart and always shared a smile with everyone he met. Wayne is survived by his stepson, Kyle Bishop; sisters, Susie Estwick, Glace Bay, Rose Bishop, Sydney, Lisa (John) Chordis, Sydney, Betty (Shaun) MacLean, Edmonton, Lois Bishop, and Anna Desmond, both of Ontario; brother, Karl (Donna) Bishop, as well as many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 6 Churchill Drive, Sydney, N.S., 902-539-7175.
