Obituary of Patricia Marguerite Levy

Patricia Marguerite Levy (Parnell) 84 of Hackett's Cove passed peacefully on December 30, 2023 in Northwood Ivany Place Bedford. She was born to the late, E. George and Kathleen (Young) Parnell, Halifax Nova Scotia. Pat is survived by daughter, Kathleen Berrigan, Lower Sackville; son Gerald (Joanne) Levy, Lakeside; grandchildren, Victoria, Herbert, Matthew, Katelyn, Christopher, and Maya; brothers, Donald Parnell, Keith Parnell, and Gary (Germaine) Parnell; sister-in-law Cheryl Parnell and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Edgar Levy; sister, Madalyn; brother-in-law, Vincent (Madalyn) Campbell; and Sister-in-law, Diana (Keith) Parnell; and special grandson, Praveen. Special thank you to her granddaughter Katelyn for having the strength and fortitude to take care of her all those years at home, keeping her grandmother out of residential care for as long as possible. Thank you to Northwood care facility for the care you provided the last 3 years in particular all the staff working in the Bluenose and Fiddlers Cove areas of Northwood who provided her with love and care. In lieu of flowers a donation in her name can be made to the diabetic association, an illness her granddaughter fights with everyday or Search and Rescue who came to her rescue on her escape from Northwood. Arrangements have been entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 71 McQuade Lake Crescent, Halifax Nova Scotia, where visitation will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 6pm – 8 pm, followed by a funeral on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest with her husband at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Hacketts Cove directly after the service.
