Obituary of William 'Billy' Kenneth Ogley

William ‘Billy’ Ogley Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of William Kenneth ‘Billy’ Ogley on Wednesday, December 27,2023 at home. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Walter and Ann Elizabeth (Martin) Ogley. Billy was employed at Sally Ann Bakery, Canadian Tire and later was a Sand Blaster for Blastall, Ontario until his retirement. He loved a good game of poker and pool and spoke often about growing up in New Aberdeen, diving, and swimming at the reef. Billy is survived by his son, Stephen; daughter Barbara; grandchildren, Skylar, Sienna, and Callie. He is also survived by his brothers, David (Gladys), Joseph (Joan., Patrick (Joanne), Lloyd (Karen), Barry, Paul (Shelly), Bernie (Rhea) and Blaine; sisters, Katherine (Maurice), Beatrice, Hilda (Bruce), Karen, Bernadette (Sam); sisters-in-law, Patricia, Katherine and Jeannie, as well as many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Walter and Ann Elizabeth, Billy was predeceased by his brothers, Walter, Tom, Max, Frank, Charles, Melvin, Raymond and Blair, sisters, Norma, Lena, and Martha. As per Billy’s wishes there will be no services. Memorial donations may be made the Cancer Society. The family would like to thank Dr. Saliba Wissam and Dr. Melody Adams for their care and compassion; his sister Beatrice for taking care of him and thank you to his brother Bernie for drives to his appointments.
