Dear Peggy-Lynn and Christopher, Our deepest sympathy for the loss of your mother. Although one knows the end is coming, it is always difficult to loose someone who has been such a big part of your life. She was a kind hearted person, vivacious,sociable and caring. She will be missed. Peggy-Lynn, you and she had been my patients for many years, right up to my retirement and aside from a professional relationship we became friends.. Be strong like she was. Dear Peggy- Lynn, We read of your mother;s death in the paper. She had a long illness, so it shouldn’t have been a surprise to your family. We extend deepest sympathy to you and your family. We knew your mother very well and I cared for her many years before I retired (along with Dr Ben Cookie). Your mother and I were both from Newfoundland and we were also very close in age. Thank you for your Christmas card, which you sent on behalf of your mother. I was ill myself with a flue-like illness after the holidays, so I was reluctant to visit hospital patients. Regrettably. I did not get to say “goodbye”.There was no mention of funeral service or arrangements, but if you plan any, we would like to know. Best wishes, Carl and Caroline
