Obituary of Sara Winifred Lynk

Please share a memory of Sara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sara Winifred Lynk, on December 23rd, 2023, with her family by her side. Sara was born to the late John and Maggie Ellen (MacLean) Byrne in 1931. Ma lived all her life on Row Street in Bridgeport, until her illness, where she enjoyed the swing on her deck, the ocean breeze, and the love of her family and lifelong friends. She will be dearly missed by her devoted husband of over 69 years, Eddie; her four children, Beverley (John), Kevin (Gail), Robert (Mardie), and Ruthie (Paul); her ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and her brother, Michael. Besides her parents, Ma was predeceased by her sisters, Margie MacPherson, Kathleen King, Josephine Carrigan and her brothers, Justin and Joe. We are so grateful for the exceptional care Ma received from the wonderful staff at Victoria Haven Nursing Home, where she spent her last three years. There, she was showered with kindness. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 28th, from 12-1:30 pm at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, 902-849-4199, followed by a funeral mass at 2 pm in Immaculate Conception Parish, Bridgeport, Fr. Daniel Boudreau officiating. Online condolences may be made to the family by visiting www.tjtracey.com.
