Obituary of John Murray LeJean

We, the family, regret to announce the passing of John Murray LeJean of Westmount at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness. John was the son of the late Louis and Marjorie LeJean, Westmount. John is survived by his wife Jane LeJean; son John (Natalie) LeJean; daughter, Joanne LeJean; stepson, Ethan Ardelli (Jessica); stepdaughters Camille Ardelli and Kaitlin Pierre; grandchildren, Brennan and Pamela LeJean, Wayne and Amanda Hillier, Kayla LeJean; and step grandchildren, Elliot and Pearl Ardelli and Kalani Chatelaine. Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his son, Murray LeJean, daughter Marjorie LeJean, and ex-wife, Dorothy LeJean. John’s working life began in the Military. He then began travelling as a millwright and finished his career with Devco. His lifetime hobbies included rebuilding vehicles in his garage with numerous friends and driving motorcycles. After his retirement, John joined the YMCA, where he spent the next three decades forming friendships and working out. Most of all he enjoyed travelling with Jane, both locally and to the southern states, in their RV. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 6 Churchill Drive, Sydney, N.S., 902-539-7175. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 28, 10 am at Holy Rosary Church, Westmount, Fr. Doug Murphy officiating, followed by a reception at T.J. Tracey Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the YMCA, Sydney, N.S.
