Obituary of Angus William MacIntosh

It is with broken hearts the family of Bill (Willie) MacIntosh announce his passing on December 4, 2023. Bill was born in Boularderie, the only child of Agnes MacIntosh Matthews on March 16, 1943. Bill’s career started in the RCAF as a military police officer. After discharge, his occupation was mainly in sales, most of which was in the tire business, where he became well known and respected and made many friends. He was Manager of Maritime Tire until its closing and worked at Mr. Tire for many years. Bill loved to cook and was famous for his ribs and rice. He loved trying new recipes and then putting the “Bill touch” on them. Bill was also an avid reader and could speak on many subjects. For the last 31 years, Bill had a blended family and loved each member dearly. He is survived by his loving partner, Mary; sons, Tim (Doreen), Derek (Kim); stepson, Brad (Kristal), stepdaughter, Michelle (Russell); grandchildren, Ashley, Ryan, Keagan, Jacob, Daryl, and Andy; great grandchildren, and also the mother of his children, Joan. Bill was predeceased by his eldest son, Robert and mother, Agnes. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 6 Churchill Drive, Sydney, NS, 902-539-7175. There will be a private family burial at St. James Cemetery in Boularderie at a later date. A Celebration of Life for Bill will take place at the Cedar’s Hall on MacKenzie St, Sydney, on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 12-3 pm, lunch will be served.
