Obituary of James Thomas Burbridge

James Thomas Burbridge, 76, of Halifax, Nova Scotia, passed away on November 24th, 2023 from cancer. James was proud of his 13 years of service with the Army Reserves, where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant. James had a distinguished career as a Fire Inspector for the insurance industry and over his more than 40 year career he inspected innumerable buildings across the province. He loved traveling, scuba diving, flying, and skating, and especially loved when he could share in these activities with his family and friends. James was a devoted son to his parents and he was proud of his family and the accomplishments of his children. He was predeceased by his father James Burbridge, mother Jean Burbridge, sister Louise Henley, sister Gwen Chaddock, brother Kenneth Burbridge and he left behind his daughter Margaret Burbridge, son Peter Burbridge, daughter-in-law Rozina Darvesh, grandson Noah Darvesh Burbridge, grandson Gabriel Darvesh Burbridge. A funeral service, followed by a reception and internment will be held in his honor at 10:00AM on Dec. 8th, 2023 at St. Peter's Anglican Church, 3 Dakin Dr, Halifax, NS.
