Obituary of Douglas Harold Cogswell

COGSWELL, Douglas Harold- Age 72, of Halifax NS passed peacefully at home on November 12 2023, with his life partner Paulette Leamon by his side. He was born at home in Richmond CO., Cape Breton to Mary and Douglas Cogswell. He is survived by his partner of 40 years, Paulette Leamon; his daughter, and grandson; stepdaughter, Karen Richardson (Ivan); his brothers, Joe, and Bernie; sisters, Irene, and Ann; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and brothers, Angus, Francis, and Carl. Doug was a shining member of his community he was always helpful, humorous, and cared deeply about his family and friends. He was loved by those that knew him and will be sadly missed. Cremation has taken place, and his celebration of life will be held on Sunday Dec.3,2023 2-4 pm in 3 Ford Street, Fairview, Halifax, NS, in the common room. Burial will take place at a later date. Special thanks to the palliative care team for their fantastic support. Maggie Frampton for always being there to lend a helping hand.
