Anna Leona “Doll” Poirier Reserve Mines It is with broken hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, Leona ‘Doll’ Poirier on December 29, 2018 at the Glace Bay Hospital, with her family at her side.Doll was the daughter of the late John and Annie (Crawley) Beaver. She is survived by her sons, Joey (Joleen) and Fabian (Crystal); her pride and joy, her grandchildren, Hayden, Wyatt, Gracie, Olivia and Ryder; her sister, Marie Lynk, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Doll was predeceased by her sisters, Loretta, Helen, Mildred and Shirley Viola in infancy; brother, Jackie and Walter James in infancy. Doll will be deeply missed by her many friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 1-3 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 3 p.m. with Father Daniel Boudreau officiating at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory to the Cancer Centre at Cape Breton Regional Hospital. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Ley, Dr. Saliba, the nursing staff of 3 East of the Glace Bay Hospital, and the staff at the Cancer Center for their care and compassion shown to our mother.
